We got our first snowfall today.  Nothing on the ground .... at least not for more than 30 minutes.  But ... the snow is coming.  The mountain tops are getting more and more snow on them, and the snow line is getting lower and lower.

We are also starting to finally get out of the cloudy, rainy weather that plagued us for most of the summer.  We have a string of very clear and crisp fall days.

It has been a pretty crazy month at work.  Lots of stuff happening.  Most of it is negative.  Some is really positive.  However, whether it is good or bad, it is really busy!

Rhonda and I were introduced to a family a few weeks ago by a mutual friend at church.  From the very minute that we met the Hoffmans, we felt a spiritual connection between our families.  Chris and Kristi Hoffman have three kids, Lauren, Clayton, and David.  Great family.

We have gotten together with them as a family only once, but I have started meeting with Chris and John Patten (our mutual friend who introduced us) every Thursday and are developing into a tight group of friends.  God has brought us together for a reason ... maybe many reasons.  I look forward to discovering those reasons as we get to know each other.

We started a study on spiritual warfare with the Hoffmans today.  John and Ahne Patten are leading the study.  This is a subject that I know I do not fully understand and I would bet that most Christians do not fully understand it either.  Aside from getting to know spiritual warfare better, it is a great opportunity to get to know the Pattens and the Hoffmans a little better.

It has been below freezing now for about a week.  Yes, even the high temperature of the day is below freezing.  It was 10 degrees when I took the kids to school today.  I guess we are at that point where will not see temperatures above freezing until March, or maybe April.  We are supposed to get some snow at the end of the week.  We have been getting little snow showers over the past week or so, but no accumulation.
