Jacob is growing like crazy!  He does not smile very much ... but ... he does not cry too much either.  I finally created a YouTube account and I uploaded a video today.  It is a video of Jacob taking his first real bath (he had a few sponge baths before his first real bath).

Andrew had his first hockey game on Saturday the 6th.  His team played really well and they won 7 to 3.  Andrew scored the first and second goals of his career!!!  It was very exciting to watch.  He was getting so close to scoring last season, but he just couldn't put it in the net.  His skating skills have improved dramatically since last season and with his improved skills, he was able to get in position to make a few good shots and two of them went in!

Danny has been really stepping up his game too.  He is currently playing in the YMCA rec basketball league.  His rec league coach is putting together a team to play in the comp league.  The rec league is supposed to be mainly just for fun, but the comp league is more competitive.  His coach invited a few players from the rec league to play on his comp league team and Danny was one of the kids he asked to join the team.

I will be traveling back to PA soon to meet with our builder to stake out the location of our house.  Exciting!

The weather is really turning cold now in Alaska.  We had an incredibly mild October.  No snow and temperatures in the 40s and 50s.  But now we are in the middle of a deep freeze.  It will get down to the negatives tonight ... could be as low as -10.  Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 10.  Today, our high was around 7.

We had a quiet Thanksgiving yesterday with just the five of us at home.  It was nice to just have a quiet relaxing day, but we really miss sharing special holidays with family and friends.

We got 4 or so inches of snow on Wednesday night giving us a "white Thanksgiving" ... just like the ones I used to know .... But today, we are getting pounded with a big snow storm.  So far, we have about a foot on the ground and and it is still coming down hard.  It's funny because the forecast called for a 1/2 inch.

I started uploading videos to YouTube.  I embedded one above on this journal page, but I have also created a video album so that you can browse all of our YouTube videos.  Click here to get to the video album.
